How an architect analyses a site in ‘16
This one was a looong time in the making. I must have started production on this one about 4 months ago. It took time because I’m still developing the format. I really want to communicate my message and I believe that the best way of doing that is by making the material more engaging. This is clearly not rocket science, but I believe I can achieve this if I start filming what happens when I’m not necessarily on my desk. This video is a first step on this direction.
And so far it has paid off!!

LHE I Setting model
We took our time and we built a model for this project. We are extremely happy with the fact that the client agreed with this approach given the complexity of the project we found it to be necessary. You see, this is meant as a multi residential project in La Hulpe, and we can expect a lot of “friction”. We expect this model to help us in the negotiations with the council and the neighbors. Models are not just great as design tools but they serve a fundamental purpose in communication. It is my belief that we should leverage 3D printing to this effect.
