In this video I explore how much the design of a space should be influenced by its environmental requirements. Since the industrial revolution we have been allocating activities to spaces (bedroom, dining room, kitchen, etc.). However, I feel that as much as we are matching the requirements of these spaces with their spatial needs, we are lacking when it comes to matching to their environmental ones.

For this week’s photo I went into the archive to retrieve a project from over 10 years ago. It was my unsuccessful submission for an international gastronomic center in Brussels, Belgium. I showcase this project in our latest video as I give an example of how spaces should be designed according to their spatial requirements AND environmental ones.
