Tomorrow I’m doing something different (again)!
I’m going to interview LIVE an old colleague of mine after 15 years. José Luis and I have both undergone the masters in sustainable architecture in London’s Architectural Association. After that we have each gone our separate ways. He went back to Quito, Ecuador and I moved to Brussels, Belgium.
I now wanted to take this opportunity to see how he has applied his skill set in his home town to explore how that differs from how we do it here in Belgium. I think we take for granted this term that we throw around of “sustainable architecture” and I think it means very different things depending of our different cultural contexts.
Furthermore, I want to explore what are the incentives behind “green” architecture for him as opposed to me.
This promises to be an interesting talk and a first of many with different architects from different regions of the world!
