For some time I’ve been following the career of “H arquitectes”.
I have to admit that at the beginning I was skeptical. Not necessarily because I think I’m the only one who does sustainability, I’m not and I know it. But I feared once again that the spotlight was being shone in yet another office who was doing green washing.
I quickly learned I was wrong.
I think their work is just great! It’s an inspiration and their response to the Mediterranean climate they face is nothing short of inspiring.
I made a Mistake!
I know it’s not the first one, and I imagine it won’t be the last one either, but what bother me about this one is that it is on a video I published… Not just any video, but my first video that really took off to almost 200k views on Instagram…
The video is the one about the house in Bordeaux, by Rem Koolhaas.
In this video I mistakenly say “the client passed away before moving into the house”.
This is something I believed to be true for the past 25 years. It’s not. Mr Lemoine, lived in his tailored house for 4 happy years before finally passing in 2002.
Here’s the video with the mistake, and the follow up I put out trying to correct it. It’s just impossible to correct oneself on line, and taking the video down is also not the best choice I believed…
I really struggled with this one because I don’t want to contribute to spreading misinformation on line, so it really ate me up.
