I’ll do my best to learn from that mistake so it won’t happen again.
Design your budget with your project!
It seems to be inevitable... As I’m designing a project we usually run into the “cut-back phase”. The problem I see however, is that we run into this phase too late in the game. Which is why I thought I had to make this video. If we design the budget as we design the project, we can get ahead of most (if not all) budget over runs.
Some examples:
Terraced house vs Villa
We should understand that if we are building a villa, we have 2 extra façades to account (and budget for).
Multi-story vs single story
If we are building a 2 level house we are basically going to spend HALF the price in foundations and roofs.
